White with black stripes- 2001 Chevy Camaro SS
i need help?
i want a 550 hp to 700 hp to the wheels and some very good torque equall or greater to my hp, now what i would like to know. I want to go N/A as much as i can, till i have to move up to a pro charger or the NOS. What cam and head job would i need and do i have to mess with the stock block or could i just leave it alone? I have the regular 2001 camaro SS with straight headers to the back and MAF sensor. So if anyone can give me any advice i would appreciated. CAM? what part and number, Heads? what part? what brand? and if i have to switch the lifters spring and everything, anyone can help me? Or i anyone suggest anyone in the Houston TX area?

You won't do 550+rwhp on the stock bottom-end N/A...period. If you went with an all-out heads/cam/bolt-on package, you might hit 500rwhp (maybe), but it would be expensive and not conducive to adding FI. Now if mean just reusing your block, then you could go with a forged 383 that would get you closer to 550rwhp and would be ready for some nitrous...
Texas has a some of the best LSx builders around...check with TSP.
