Question i know, i know but Hot cam VS CheaTR??

ok i did some searching but i am a real noob when it comes to LS1 cams,

i have LT,s but i want a cam that will pass the sniffer, would you guys recommend the GM Hot Cam or the CheaTR cam? or is there a better cam that i can use with stock ls1 heads for now?(will be putting in ned valve springs)

later i want to get a CNC LS6 head, but not for a while.

correction, he isn't talking about lift, 224 is the duration of both the intake and exhaust. lift will be somewhere around the low to mid .500's.

I would go with the hotcam for a daily driver, but that's just me.

I don't know about sniffers, but the Hotcam kit is great for the money.

+1...don't listen to the naysayers. I got my hotcam and picked up 31hp..so much for the hotcam is just noise and doesn't produce any power. There's a lot of ignorance here about cams.

    most people dont though.
there are better cams out there that make better all around power and are still very driveable.

I've seen a ton of hotcam cars put down 380-400 rwhp with all supporting bolt ons. I think cams are way over hyped, and I'm probably just as guilty as the next guy for falling for big cam numbers. It's hard to really compare what cams do what if you don't have a car that is consistently hooking and being driven well with the only difference being a cam change. Hardly anyone tells you everything they've done to their car. Heck, most only post rwhp because their et doesn't even close to being impressive.
