HP Limitations
I'm rushing before work to post this, so I don't have time to search for it...
Am I correct in this? Can you guys give me more accurate numbers, thanks
Crank = 500HP
Pistons = 500HP
Block = 700HP
Transmission (T56) = 500HP
Rear End = 400HP

the block can handle more

The rear can barely get by on decent launches from stock power.
The driveshaft & trans def start gettin iffy on 450hp.
Every case is different due to luck & different setups.
Another big factor is how well your car hooks. If it hooks and catches right away from slicks or DR's, it'll def "shock" all these components and cause more stress which doesn't help. If you're spinning, it'll give alil and not cause the "shock". Hope that helps.

Here's my input with some personal experience:
Crank- 650+rwhp
Pistons- 500-600rwhp with the ringlands being the weakest link
Block- 1000+rwhp never heard of a LSx block splitting due to HP
T56- 1000+rwhp Seen plenty of BIG FI builds using the T56. However, the clutch and shift forks are obviously upgraded....
10-bolt- total crap-shoot.
Put some ARP rod-bolts and forged pistons in a factory LS1 and you can go deep into the 700rwhp range. My stock bottom end made 576rwhp/590rwtq for a few years...
