    HP gains from polishing heads

I just polished my TEA 5.3l stage 1.5 heads today. Does anybody know how much of a gain i should see or was it just a huge waste of time? I smoothed out all the CNC lines with a couple stones on my drill, used 3 different grades of sandpaper, then polished it with jewlers' polish and a cotton drill tip. I'd be cool with something like 5-10 hp but i'm not sure if it would get it. Thanks.

From what I know CNC and polishing your heads are to make sure there our no little pieces of metal that heat up and pre-ignite your fuel going into the chambers. So that you dont have pre-firing in your cambers when fuel hits those hot pieces of metal and ignite it ignites and screws up your cumbustion chambers. instead of letting the fuel go into the valves and ignite normally. thats what i believe.and thanks again for doing what you do for our country.
