Black- 2001 Formula
How to tell if I have an LS6 Intake?
I have an 01 Formula and was wondering how to tell if I have the LS6 or LS1 intake. I know the difference is on the bottom but how do I tell without removing the intake?
Working up a worksheet on what to do to rebuild my car (01 Formula, A4, Pypes Catback) since it is a DD and has >131k on it. Would want to end up with >400hp but will still be a DD. figuring on Intake/85-90mm TB and MAF, Heads/Cam, headers w/catted y-pipe, and rebuild/upgrades to the tranny. Also, how to tell if I have the 4L65E or 4L60E. I understand the LS1s are actually w/4L65Es.

Should be an LS6 intake - look for the PN stamped on the drivers side.
