rocker noise or lifter noise is a faster tick and piston slap is more of a slower knock sound like a rod is going.

I highly doubted a rod... For a couple of reasons, Ive heard rods go on a few ls1's and this sounds nothing like it, way too quiet and dull, it also goes away immediatley after 1000 rpm and doesnt return until idle. The oil psi is around 50-60 at idle and around 70 punched. Ive done the oil a couple times on the car and have never had any shavings in the pan. check the vids up top if you like.

yes thank you shady.. the actual noise is the piston is cold and smaller than the bore so it basically bangs back and forth creating the sound you hear once warmed up it goes away.

i think i have a bent pushrod. it makes a tick tick tick that increases with the rpm. it is audible in the drivers seat but still indiscerable in an audio clip.
