Thought I'd let you know that they changed the name of their company to SIX SPEEDS, Inc.

The 12 bolt isn't bulletproof. The 9" might as well be.

475-500 RWHP. Texas Speed does great with their motors. Happy with mine for sure.
Are those Weld Wheels on your car? I dont mean to be nosy about your car but I think it looks awesome. I have a 2000 silver Z28 and im thinking of using weld wheels. Are they 15's? What back spacing in the rear? Is your car lowered? What size tires? Sorry for all the questions. I hope you take it as a compliment.

I run a set of Welds for the track.
    15 inch wheels.
Lots of caliper grinding to make them fit on the back. 15x10 in back, 15x3.5 up front.
5/8" spacers to clear the stock calipers on the front.
    The fronts are backspaced 1.75"
    The rears are backspaced 7.5"

Car is lowered with the ProKit.
Front tires are Hankook (I think that is the spelling) 165R15's.
Rear tires are MT radial 275/50/15's.

How far can a LS1 go? Is it safe to go to a 408 on the Stock LS1 block? I see that alot of the 408's are in the 6.0L block.

I think a stock LS1 would have to be siamese bored and its cheaper to use a iron block. I think it adds about 60# to the front of your car. You can pick up a good 6.0 block for around $400.

You would have to sleeve the LS1 block to get it that big.
New LS2/LQ9 block is much cheaper.

    LS2 makes a 402.
    LQ9 makes a 402.
Bored .030 over the LQ9 makes the 408.

Ive got a stock LQ9 block and crank. I think I give around $400 for it on EBAY. I like to do alot of stuff myself but I had texas-speed.com assemble me a short block. I think they have some of the best prices around. They probably have a new block in stock.

    Click for full size
With traction, should I be able to run mid 11's on motor. I have a 150 TNT shot for those pesky Muskrats.
