    How much For H/C Install?

I was wondering how much the average shop charges for a cylinder head install and maybe a cam for labor only as if I supplied all needed parts?

    Thanks,
    Evan

For a H&C swap, and tune you are looking between $1400-$2000. Depending on where you go.

I agree. It is a pretty extensive job and lot of labor. You will have to drop it off for a few days, before you get it back. At least a $1000 at the very least to swap H/C. If u do plan on asking a shop to do it, spend the extra $ and take it to a place that knows what there doing. The last thing I would want is some one tearing open my motor that has no clue what they are doing.

I would strongly ask around local car clubs or any1 on this site close by to u, to come and give u a hand. Ur spending just as much as u paid for the parts for them to get installed. U could put that $ to a nice 9" or 12 bolt.

yes i know but i have no place to do it and the guy thats doing it builds race engines for a living and charges by the hour so i am kinda limited, that wud be nice to have a 9 inch to go along with it but unless i can find someone cheaper within the next few weeks looks like im stuck with this guy, plus he said this price was an estimate installing heads, cam, fast intake, ported oil pump, timing chain, lifters, and long tube headers and y pipe.
