    Help with Cam Specs

Alright I bought a car from a guy and he said that the cam is an aftermarket cam but he does not know what brand or what the specs are. I took the cam out and the only numbers that I see on it are 33125/33135HR14 2870-A V7376
I do not know what brand or anything about the cam so any help with finding this our would be appreciated.
    Thanks, BILL

Hints at being a comp cams grind by the numbers. Did it idle like stock, or was it kinda agressive? It's odd that he would put a cam in and not know what it was, are you sure it's aftermarket?

When I bought the car the engine was already out so I never heard it run. This kid bought the car with this cam in it so he did not know the specs but would you know the lift of the cam?
THanks for everyones help getting this sorted out.

I build engines, so I knew it was a comp number and what they mean, so I just looked up the lobe number in the book..

I trust ya what type of book have the specs I havnt seen anything like that also I am having a motor built for me and budget of course is an issue. I was wondering what combo to run for the best hp with budget in mind? I plan on using this cam but am unsure of what do about heads and intake. I didnt know if porting stock heads or getting new
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks, BILL

Best budget is have the stock block rebuilt with forged pistons 2500, and forged rods will only hit the pocket book for an extra 450-500 more..Then port the stock heads for $1000-1250...Gaskets,pushrods,oil pump, etc, $1000.... Probably 5k and make 400+ and very nice reliable motor...

Why port stock heads when you can get CNC LS6 heads that are much better for 900 bucks from tsp

At 899 a good deal, but they have stock springs and valve job...You need atleast comp valve springs if you want to rev it a bit!
