    Heads or new Valvetrain????

I am just wondering if the best route on my LS1 is to do a complete performance head swap or just to change out the rocker arms, studs, guides, springs, locks, retainers, pushrods, etc.? I am limited on money and thats why I am considering just the valvetrain swap instead of complete heads. Also what kind of numbers are we talking about with these upgrades and a cam?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

you can get up to 420 i can try to get a dyno sheet... if you port and polish those things it should it those.. just got a bit bigger valves 2.02 intake and 1.60 intake you won't have to change the valve seats or anything..

I want to do both too. But if you're low on money then heads would be cheaper.

...or do that too. But if you're just doing that for now until you get everything else I would wait.

There's no point in changing the heads or the valvetrain without changing the cam. You can do the cam and valvesprings along with the pushrods, retainers are optional. Rockers and guides are not necesary. Can do heads as well, depends on your budget and goals.
