    yea it boils down to money. . .its so cheap to get good power out of ported ls1 heads and so expensive to squeeze the extra hp from aftermarket heads.

    Are you sure? I went from LS1 to LS6 Heads and didnt change pushrods..and I've never had a problem

    cnc the heads and tell them you want to keep the same compression.
    they will port the head and then mill it for the compression.
