2500 will get you some bolt ons and a stall. If you get a big enough stall you'll be running as fast as some 400 hp cars

    Mark,
Sauceycross1 uses the car as a Daily Driver, are you saying you can get him 400hp or more to the wheels with just the above with a CAM that is going to be a good Daily Driver? Do your prices include incidentals like plugs, wires, fluids etc..?
He has a Vert so he should probably get SubFrame connectors for sure eh?

This is a tough call, but if you double your current available funds you will be closer and like I said before you can spend a lot more. Long tube headers, CATs (not sure if you need them in Kentucky) and exhaust is a big chunk of change alone. I have a manual so I have no clue on converter cost and install. If I were you I would start now with LS6 Intake, Subframe connectors SFC's, torsen bar (connects trans to rear end), rear gear upgrade to 3.73s with the Girdle cover and maybe a pulley or the Trans converter if that is affordable and will still be streetable. This would be laying down the ground work for the next steps. Personally when I had the rear gearing changed it put the biggest smile on my face until I did the heads and cam. Your still going to have the Head and Cam cost of $1900 (Patriot heads=about the lowest cost head on the market), full exhaust front to back of $1000 or more easily depending on what you get, labor cost to install it all $? and tune and dyno $400. I know its sticker shock and I lived it as well. I had rear gears, suspension upgrades and headers installed and paid labor, later I installed heads and cam and intake myself and paid for tune. Sorry for the winded message, just trying to give you some info to chew on. Maybe give Mark at KYSpeed a call?

I cannot get 400+ rwhp out of just a cam swap in an LS1. you can do close or over it with supporting mods such as LT's, off road " Y ", intake, TB and ETC.

I have gotten over and some fall short with the same mods.

I just got done with two 2010 Camaros with the exact same mods one car did 559 rwhp the other did 556 rwhp.

I as a shop will not promise dyno #'s as they will be different on each and every car. I will say that I can get you around XXX rwhp on this setup.

    Thanks,
    Mark

You could easily spend 8k to 10k doing it correct. Headers, exhaust, LS6 manifold and other small parts needed to complete the job was around $1500 on my car. Add in tires, a lid, TB, SFC's....say goodbye to your $2500.

    What are 13111's?

The OP is looking for Daily Driver so he can probably hold off on some some items like rims and tires and he could pick up a Head (Patriots) and CAM (Comp) package for about $1900 and get 400rwhp or more depending on CAM. I have similar package and put down about 400rwhp and its a mild daily driver CAM at 224/224 .581/.581 114+2 on a Mustang Dyno. Maybe he could get buy with installing an LS6 intake and keeping the stock TB..?

13111s are o2 sensors ...if he has a stall and h/c/i he will need some real tires..not A/S tires on the stock 16s...so rims and good tires will be needed. on top of that..the heads i quoted are the best of the best.

Yes the heads are the best of the best.

The OP hasn't posted in a few days so he is either shopping for parts or still recovering from sticker shock.

Would he have to get a tune if he is just gonna go with headers full exhaust and an intake and throttle body for now? How close can that get him

I did and LS6 intake and full exhaust and got the mail order tune from Frost. My car runs like a champ! The 13111's are highly recomended to. Forget extensions unless you wanna throw codes. So OP if I were you I would Go intake, full exhaust, some SFC's, and tires for now. Save save for the rest
