heads/cam/tune and emissions
I need some help can I install head and cam package and still stay emissions legal? I know i has more to do with the cam. How many of you have these parts and stay legal with the OBDII plug in emissions test, they don't do the sniffer just plug into the diagnostic port. Also what are the parts and specs of the package.

what state are you in??? if they only do the OBDII plug in then you should be ok with a tune... the only thing they look for with the OBDII plug in is codes, and maturing codes.... I could be wrong... but that's what they look for in California, but we do the sniffer and the plug.... so I could be wrong about the emissions test in your area

As long as they don't do the actual "sniffer" test, you will be fine with a good tune. I you have off road LT headers and remove the EGR, you'll likely need to get your tuner to tune that code out, however that's a pretty simple process.
Check out my list of mods -- I've never had a code pop up on my car and have no problem with the OBD II plug in test. That being said, the visual inspection was a bit more challenging to work around this year (LT headers, ORY, cutout, etc.).2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.

I pass the OBDII test with long tubes, no cats and a big 232/236 cam chopping away.
