    But what was done to the car? I've seen a similar comparison as well, but it wasn't on a H/C car. Also, that 1,198 is for the manifold/throttle body. If you went and got the tb and the ls6 manifold, you'd still be paying like $850. So it's only like a $300 difference

    Not nessasarally, the LS6 intake and your LS1 throttle body is the same,so they will bolt up perfect to each other... COST VS. HP is all im saying. Everyone has a hard on for the Fast and its good but sheet metal intakes are better for higher hp... and yea there is a heads and cam article with the 6.0 block and the intakes that was done in june of Hot Rod I believe, It's not really that big of a differance... lol $424. minus $1,198 = $774.00 774 divided by 6.6hp = $117.27 per 1 horspower.... NOT SO GOOD....

    but what i'm saying is IF you want to upgrade the stock throttle body then it would be worth it, I think. Why would you get the LS6 intake manifold then leave the stock throttle body on there?

    because bigger throttle body doesn't always mean more hp it depends on flow... in the article they used the 75 mm throttle body and it was fine... I wouldnt change it... I have a 383 stroker with and LS6 on it and a 408 with a sheet metal intake and prevouisly with a LS6 and dynoed 530 hp with an ls6... not to bad for a 75mm throttle body...

    maybe 1 or 2 and if you are lucky maybe three but thats pushing it... not worth the cost to hp gain at all....!
