Head Gaskets
When you guys do a head swap, are you using oem gaskets or cometic. Do you also need arp head bolts or again are oem ok. I picked up a set of good used patriot perf. stg 2 64cc heads for a steal of a price.

Depends on what comp. ratio you plan on running but i would use oem, although do not reuse your oem bolts, there torque to yield so you are going to have to pick up some new bolts, either arp or oem. Although i would go with the arp.

I blew a head gasket and I didnt want it to happen again so i went with the cometic. I ended up using oem replacement bolts because I couldnt get the arp's when I needed them.

It depends on your buget for the bolts, but with cometic gaskets you have a wider range of thicknesses to dial in your combo for your application. I have never heard of oem bolts failing. I mean, you are shooting for a two stage system or some big time boost. Just make sure the heads are machine right for the the cometics and the block is extremly clean.
