not really a need for instructions, just make sure everything is unpluged, take off accs. and steering kunckle, remove tranny, unbolt k-member, then drop it. pretty east. now of course you have to mess with the suspension a bit. have fun

I was looking for somethink that pointed out where all the bolts are on the K-Member are. Also, can I drop the tranny with the engine? I think that would be easier since I will be using a lift, or am I missing something?

no you can drop both, i just wasnt lucky enough to have a lift. There is only 6 k-member bolts (three on each side) they are located where the lower a-arm meets the k-member.

It's less work to leave it in for the swap. Seriously. I have done and helped with many.

Also, when you drop your K-member, you end up affecting alignment.

I unbolted my driveshaft, tq arm, and shifter, then the all the stuff up front (shock tower bolts, brake lines, k-member bolts, etc, etc.) amd dropped my motor, tranny, and k-member all together in my garage with just a cherry picker. The 6 k-member bolts are huge and you can't miss them! Just make sure the k-member is resting on a dolly before you unbolt them or you're gonna get crushed!!!!

How so? My car feels like it tracks a lot more but my alignment was already effed and I also took the sway bar off so I thought that may have had something to do with it.

I paid my local firestone shop $139 for a life time alignment. so for as long as i own the car i can get as many alignments as i want, everyday if i wanted. so i guess this doesnt really bother me.

Yeah after doing this to my car today (pulling it from the top) I TOTALY agree of dropping it from the bottom. Would of been so much easier.
