A good cam for ported 241 heads?????

There are some 241 heads ported couple years ago by MTI in houston. The guy selling them does not know the #s that it made after they were ported but he was using an mti x1 cam w/ those heads and was making 400 rwhp.. All the port work compared to 243 stock look way better and bigger ports... Any info. on some good cams would be appreciated.. Thanks

A 228 cam would probably make you happy and work good with those heads. You also might look at going with a higher stall, maybe 3,500-3,800....when I was running a 220/224 with a 2,800 stall you could hear it at the track when I got up into the powerband after the stall was locking up. Swayed my stall for a 3,800 and it made a world of a difference

I don't think the heads and cam will be as much of a benefit without a better intake. At least an ls6.
