My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
Gimmie the LD on cams
what are they? i know they push the lifters which push the rockers, which allow air/gas/exhaust etc to flow, BUT....what are the numbers about? what kinda cam is HUGE POWER AND RETARDED LOUD and what ones are good power but don't have a lot of "lope" [i hate lope, i'd like a quiet one if possible] what's a good head/cam combo for my particular taste? does a quieter cam make less power, if so are they worth it? If i were to get massive huge heads and bore/stroke my engine, would I have to get a lopey big cam to go with it? wow, ok, get out your engineering books kids-first person to answer all my questions and get 2 others to agree gets a paypal dollar.

I'm going to link you to LS1tech, because I don't think there is a better post than JRP's when it comes to the ultimate cam information guide. I didn't want to copy and paste the whole thing.
