Getting stuff together for H/C, what you guys think?
Hey guys, i am thinking about h/c for my 00' M6 ws6 with 57k miles. it has a lid, bellow, Free mods, Ported MAF, Stock internal motor with tune, full exhaust- pacesetters, ORY, 3" pipe all the way (no cats), 3" QTP cutout, hooker areochamber muffler, Luk gold clutch w/ aluminum flywheel, Full suspension (excluding k-member and upper/lower control arms), Strange 12 bolt with 4:10's and alot of other small crap im forgetting. What do you guys think about this List??? BTW, it is a non daily driver street car that will rarely if ever see the track. Thanks for any imput!
*Updated list*
* Precision Race Components 5.3L Stage 2.5 Cylinder Heads Fully CNC Ported & Assembled With Stainless Steel 2.04" Intake Valves, 1.575" Exhaust Valves, & PRC Dual Valve Spring Kit with Titanium Retainers,
* GM Head/Cam gasket set,
* ARP head bolts,
* ARP Cam retainer bolts,
* TSP Hardened Pushrods - donno what length,
* LS2 timing chain,
* TSP ported oil pump,
* Comp cams "R" Lifters,
* ASP underdrive pulley/belts,
* Cartec ported Ls6 intake, <- already have
* LS6 coolant crossover, <- already have
* BBK 80mm throttle body, <-already have
Now for the cam choice....
1: TSP XS Series Camshaft: 233/239, .595"/.603" 112 LSA,
2: TSP Magicstick 4 - 239/242, .649"/.609" 112 lsa
3: TSP Magicstick 3 - 237/242 .603/.609" 112 lsa
4: Futral Motorsports FM13 - 230"/232", .595"/.585" 112 lsa
5: VHP accelerated lift cam "XXX"- 222 / 228, .551 / .551, 57* overlap, 115 lsa (i already have a set of the crane 1.8 accelerated lift rocker arms i was going to use for a 383 stroker i cant afford anymore. Dont worry, i didnt plan to use these with any standard profile cam.)
I'd like to see over 400rwtq. Anyone have some imput/opinions/sugestions for any of the parts or cams??? Thanks!Last edited by wesTXwitesnake05; 01-16-2007 at 09:39 AM. Reason: Updated the list

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
Personally, I would go with the first cam, I am not a huge fan of the magic sticks. The FM13 would be a great cam for your application as well. Either one of them should get you the 400RWTQ IMO. Your list looks good and real similar to mine. Good luck with your build

Impressive, I see why the heads had to go. Good list. Package deal? I think you will be pleased with the first cam as well. Heads and intake go on tomorrow, so I will post results. Thanks again.

BLUE- 2000 SS CAMARO
Any of the first 4 will get you the torque you want. I wouldn't use the crane rockers with any of them except # 5 though.
Also I would call TSP about PTV with any of their cams and those heads.

looks like a good list of parts. But i wouldn't waste money on the bbk throttle body right now. Just port and polish the stocker IMO - a lot cheaper.

I've already got the ported ls6 intake, bbk throttle body, and ls6 coolant xover. i got the t/b for $180 on ebay a while back lol so i think i got a decent deal, i just need to buy a new spacer for it.

alot of people have reccomended that i do that. its alot cheaper than anything else and should hold up fine so i think thats a good call. my friend has the torquer 2 on a 112 lsa it sounds pretty nasty but i wasnt real impressed with the performance he picked up. i like the 233/239 the most so far

i thought i would have as well, but i do have a baby cam...lol
Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa
if i was to go bigger i would step up to a 232/236 (lift closer to .590/590) on a 112 lsa. that would be a very 'nice' bump up in power. but i want under the curve power, not peak...
