    Final Questions before ordering.

I am looking at ordering prc 2.5 5.3 heads and a torquer v2/v3 112lsa cam. Fast intake and tb ls6 oil pump and a eletric water pump.

My question is how big of a difference in power would the v2 be over the v3?

This is a 02 trans am weekend driven only right now it has a lid pace setter lt with ory (no cats) and slp loudmouth. Future plans with the car will be a permabuilt trans probably a stage 2 with around a 3500 stall and a 9 inch and a suspension package.

If it were me, I would stay with the v.2

The v.3 has some crazy lift on the intake side but with a *tad* less duration on intake side. They are essentially the same exact camshaft. I believe they are ground on the same lobe.

But the v.3 has damn near .650 lift. You will be changing springs more often then with the v.2.

Yeah I knew I would be having to change springs alot more since the high lift. But I was wondering about hp between the two is it really much difference?

Just a suggestion, wish I was given in the beginning, may want to consider changing out the lifters and lifter trays while you have the heads off. lifters more so than trays, Been quite a few horror stories about lifters collapsing with big cammed cars. Me included...D'OH. You can get GM LS7 lifters for around $130 and LS2 lifter trays are like $40 for all 4. + around $10 shipping of course.

You are upgrading to the hardened pushrods, right?

Yeah I just didnt list them. I actually had a questions about the pushrods on what length to get 7.400 or longer ones?

I will probably end up calling them and ordering everything monday then drive to the shop and pick it up saturday. Cheaper for me to drive and get it then pay for shipping.

If your heads arnt milled, then 7.4 PR's will probably be what you want. My heads were illed so much I needed 7.3's. 7.4 is the standard.

With the 7-8 CC dish piston.... probably very close to 11/1. No mid grade gasoline here.
