    few questions.

where can i find new wrist pins for ls1. my rods will be replaced but i will reuse the factory pistons. I found a good deal on forged rods but i cant seem to get info on where to find new wrist pins.

next question, i will be using my origional heads. what is the best way to clean them without taking them to a shop?

I'm not sure about the wrist pins, might call local machine shops. As far as cleaning your heads, get a couple cams of brake kleen, some old paint brushes and tooth brushes. They are pretty soft aluminum, so you can score them easily....if you get a very bad spot you can use a soft wire brush

I wouldn't soak the seals down with it, but if they get some over spray they should be fine.... A little cup of kerosene with the tooth brush and paint brush works good too. Are you cleaning the inside and out, what are you planning to do with them if you don't mind me asking?

While you have them off go ahead and be sure they are flat and true...machine shop should just charge a couple of bucks to check them for you to see if they need a mill.
