Yes it is much better design as it was designed by Wilson Manifolds which most all out racers refer to as the KING of the intakes.

The problem is that most people just look at peak #'s......
It actually makes the power band alot wider or more flat across the power band. So even though you might only gain 7-10 peak it's all about the gain you see through out the hole powerband.

I put one a customers LS2 A4 car and before it wouldn't even break the tires loose witout powerbraking it up..... After it now blows the tires off and he ended up getting a pair of drag radials before we could make it to the track to see the et gain with the same tires.

Wilson Manifolds has some graphs you can get from them that shows you how much they gained versus the LS6.

Look at the runner and you'll see a diagnal lip they put on the one side of the runner...... When the intake valve is closed and air is still coming full speed this creates a tubine effect thus building more power. Just one trick they do to most of their intake designes. F.A.S.T. just bought the rights to the intake they actually had nothing to do with it's design.

people who have put fast intakes on stock cars have gained no more power than they would of with an ls6 manifold.

Thats fine for those people WE have seen gains through out the power band on the dyno!!
    Peak #'s don't mean SH_T in a street car.

Believe what you want I can only state what I've done and seen myself.

Take it or leave I'm not selling you anything so I could care less.

if you go over to ls1tech, theres plenty of dyno graphs showing that a stock motor isnt going to make any more power with a fast than a ls6. peak and under the curve.

why would that even matter? im fairly certain if youre getting an intake that it wont be the extent of your mods. a fast intake shows gains when a cam and heads are in the equation.....hot rod magazine reported.

a stock motor has no relevance here. an intake should be used in conjunction with other parts for added flow and performance.

THERE GRAPHS GET AS MUCH RESPECT FROM ME AS SLOW 12 SECOND CARS!!! There are LOT'S of people out there that think they can tune also...... Theres PLENTY of slow cars at the track every week too that are on there 3-4 motor and still slow. That don't mean squat.

first off, ls1tech is the shit when it comes to anything ls1.
not everybody will agree about 12s being slow.

Well first off........ Yeah without proper tuning you won't see a gain with a on the intake swap only. You can't just swap and hope the computer will compensate but I'm sure you already knew that.
I've already been "schooled" by your knowledge before Thanks to enlighten me again.
I'll pass it on to my customers at the track this weekend.
And sorry but I was done with 12's in 93 when Mickey came out with Sportsman Pros.
If it's a 12 second car it's my old ladys not mine.

Isn't that one of the first things that's removed during a port job? Removing that feature has shown gains with no other manifold porting...

My stroker could really use a 90mm set-up, but spending $1300+ for an intake just sticks in my craw. I keep hoping a less expensive alternative will show up...

I don't know about anyone else, but I happen to like my FAST manifold. I don't if it makes anymore power than the LS6, but I think it looks better and I would say it hasn't hurt the power. I also got my 90/90 setup from Texas Speed & Performance for right at $1,000 when they had a special on them about six months ago. I also think it is a good idea on cars that have either H/C or stroker setups. That 78mm throttle body doesn't look to small from the front, but when you look at the manifold throat you see where it necks down. Basically with the 78mm the airspeed is increased, but IMO it was a little restrictive.

Once again you have proved your intelligence to me. Keep driving your slow car with all your knowledge. Hopefully you got that bad boy LS6 intake on there. Since the "GODS" at the ls1tech said that was the way to go.
Your "babble" is another bench racer with a slow car talking out your ass so I could care less. Yes my old ladys BMW would show you tail lights.
Yeah you know those asain woman there all fat huh.....
