    engine from auto.

    How do you unbolt the flywheel from the auto trans on the VYSS Commodore 5.7 LS1.2003

    You will first need to remove the starter. Inside, there will three bolts holding the torque converter to the flywheel. You need to slowly rotate the engine to get at them one at a time and they are a bit tricky. If you are removing the flywheel, you also need to remove the trans to get at the 6 bolts and take it out.

    Flywheels are only found in manual transmission cars...
    your car has a "flexplate"...
    you unbolt the converter from the flexplate and separate the engine from the transmission...
