    Ebay Ls6 Swap

Ok , I talked myself into this kit as others have. I am buying a ls2 timing set at the local dealer and a new ls1 oil pump. Now do we think its worth it to get new lifters ?? maybe new pushrods?? got 120k on mine. This should make for a nice little upgrade on a 01 and still be very mild mannerd driving around. I will take pics and post results . I will start on it this comming saturday so by sunday I can tell you all how it went. A friend is letting me use his lift so I'm cheeting and dropping it all down fast and easy.

Block is the same dimensionally, but has a different casting number.

Intake Manifold has the same external dimensions, but flows much better.

Cylinder heads and cam are LS6 specific, better than the LS1.

GM used the LS6 intake on all 2001 / 02 T/A's they do flow much better that the standered LS1. I upgraded from the LS6 to the 78mm FAST intake for better flow.

aww poop... on the train Brian posted a whole thing about all the different intake manifolds... the LS6 is by far the best bang for the buck... and the others hardly flow more than the LS6...
