Found a pull out LS6 long block locally with forged pistons and rods on a factory crank with milled & ported 241 heads for $1k. Now I just need a cam, clutch, gaskets, etc and I can reverse the process!

    Didn't take too long, eh?

Double springs and stock rockers on the heads too. Oh yeah, a set of 28# injectors, 7.350" hardened pushrods, comp lifters...

Full ARP bolts too... I definitely lucked out on this.

Forget that pulling out the bottom crap. I pulled mine old school. Dropped the trans, disasembled the front and top end of the motor, got a guy on each side to help muscle that sucker out with the motor hoist chain on the front of the heads. Now I dont have to worry about alignment, bonus!!!! honestly I think guys make too dig a deal about taking it out the top I'd rather do that then drop the k member any day,...
