    Seafoam smokes...not the build-up.

I was told if you use cleaners and additives it tends to wear out seals and gaskets. Anyone else heard that or is it bullshit?

With engine warm, slowly pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint through carburetor or throttle body throat. (If vehicle is port injected slowly pour SEA FOAM through direct manifold vacuum line that will feed all cylinders, possible sources are P.C.V. valve or brake booster line.) This will pull SEA FOAM down on top of the pistons and to the back of the intake valves to dissolve carbon. Turn ignition off. Restart engine after 5 minutes. If severe carbon build up is apparent, use more Sea Foam as previously directed. Make sure exhaust is well ventilated when using Sea Foam in these various ways as fumes will be extreme for a short time.
Can anyone give me a quick walk through on this? I reckon I'll run it through before I change the oil. 172k on my LS1 and I reckon she could use this.

Am I taking the inlet right before the throttle body off and pouring in the air inlet there? (not sure how i would pour it in there.. maybe with a spray bottle?)

EDIT: I bet this is a really stupid question.

If you are using the Lucas UCL, should you use one 5.25 ounce bottle per tankful?

Some are nothing more than caustic solvents so yes they harm seals and gaskets.

    yes

    they say every 3-6k miles

i work at murray's and have tried a few products, not sure which one it was but it was a octane booster+cleaner and i got 21mpg that tank city driving. but either way i average 19-21 on average

not sure whats the common numbers on a ls1 6speed so thought i'd throw that out there.

the lucas is suppose to be good stuff but theres a few different products that say "full system cleaner" and concentraited.

i'm about to try a couple more of those but i doubt my mpg will increase.

actual nos? we have a nos octane booster, suppose to be the one that raises octane level the most points.

but yeah we got alot of good stuff, poly mounts and ect, which is good for me since i get a good chunk off, and we can order alot of stuff.

come to my store and we'll hook you up no doubt

anyone care to share their mpg #'s with city driving?

Octane booster does next to nothing in my opinion.

Run race gas or premium. Don't bother with the booster.
