Do 6.0 connecting rods all face the same way?
I have a new 6.0 block and a seperate set of new, take-outs, 6.0 rods and pistons that came with it as a basket case.
While installing the pistons I noticed all the rods are (factory) hung on the pistons facing the same way. IE, with the dots on the pistons facing the front of the block, the rods all end up facing the same way.
Is this correct? I am used to engines where the rods have the bearings offset in the rods, and then installed with the offset facing the crank radius. You then have 4 on one bank facing one way and the other 4 facing the opposite way on the other bank.
Thanks, Scott
