Chips are a waste of money man, you will see more problems than any increased HP. Save your money towards headers or something.

+1 on the chip being a waste of time. Also you MIGHT pick up a few horses but it isn't going to be anywhere as good as a dynotune. There are just too many factors for a programmer to be anywhere close. Save up and get headers, heads, cam, stall if you are A4. All of these things you will do a lot better with. As for the EGR it shouldn't be very expensive. That being a sensor I would stay away from the junkyard. I would go to the local partshouse of your choice.

By chip I assumed he meant one of the hand-held programmers (predator, hypertech). Then again I think we all know what happens when you assume. There was a thread on here somewhere I thought it got made into a sticky saying what a complete waste of time and money the programmers are especially if you have future mods that include heads and/or cam. Because once you do that you are just about guaranteed to need a more in-depth tune to get the most of your mods. The tune would also completely negate anything the programmer changed.

I actually need to come down there sometime in the next week, my sister is having her first kid, so I might as well stop at a dyno. Where is one at?

My mods are pacesetter long tube headers, SLP lid, Mass airflow sensor, full 3.25 exhaust, and thats all i know of that the previouse owner put on her. Would it be worth it to dyno tune her?

For my money, I would look into an LS6 intake (if you don't already have it) and/or find yourself a stock MAF to put back on there.
Tune will help. But until you get into the internals or poweradders, the stock ECU can adjust pretty well.

Is the aftermarket MAF's that bad? I also read on here something about descreening the stock one, but that does not sound like a good idea to me.

The stocker is calibrated for your car.
Aftermarket ones can lean you out, some have had serious issues with it, others haven't.
Depends on other mods as well.
