Compression?
I Am Looking To Do A 383 Lunati Stroker For My Ls1 What Is The Deal With The Different Compresions For The Rotating Assembly? I Always Thought That It Was The Cam And Heads That Determined The Compression
1998 Trans Am Vert, M6, Soon to be full of goodies......

Cam helps determine dynamic compression. How much compression gets 'bleeded' off because of the overlap.
Pistons and heads determine static compression. The cylinder compression without overlap.

If I Am Doing A Forged Bottom End Will The Compression Matter? I Am Going To Do A Sts Kit On Top Of It All, Would It Need To Be The Lower 8:5 Or Could I Get More Hp From Doing 10:1 Comp Ratio?

I think your caps lock button might be on.
The STS system can't high really high boost numbers. 9:1-9.5:1 would be ideal I would think.
Probably get better answers in the forced induction section.
