    Combination

    I am modding an 01 ls1 ta and I have my headers picked out, now if only they will ship them to Canada. I am really interested in some of peoples different combinations. I want longtubes, no cats and a cam with all supporting hardware. What is a great cam for this combo? I don't want to do heads would a 70 horsepower gain be unrealistic?

    I gained about 80hp with just a cam, headers, underdrive and tune. A lot depends on the tune as well. There have been many success stories from those using the Thunder Racing TR224 cam. It seems to work extremely well in ths LS1 f-bodies. I'd look into maybe getting an underdrive pulley and possibly an LS6 intake. I see no reason why you would not reach your goal with these mods.     this is how i roll, until tomorrow when i install my Stage II Ls6 heads and Ls6 intake and go get a tune. Longtubes/ORY, SLP Loudmouth cat-back, Comp 224/224 .581/.581 112lsa (and supporting mods)...shit just check my sig...:lol

    Under the curve

    Hi I was hoping to get some more cam recommendations. I did a cam in a tuned port car and it was kind of too much. This car is so drivable now I can let the clutch out slowly wit no gas application and go off in first. I once had a challenger with a rank 340 I had to rev it to 3500 just to let out the clutch. Maybe I should just go with n2o with the long tubes. But damn I love the sound of a good cam.

    i have the 224 cam which is a few degrees smaller and wish i would of got the 228.
