Brought my vehicle to Autozone to borrow a Code Reader. The wanted a credit card and ID to lend it out...... on top of that, they didn't even have one on hand. Evidently over here in California, there is a big problem lending things especially when it's not returned.

By the way, your problem is simpler than mine. I purchased a used TA and have had countless big problems. I have another leak issue where I will ask the member in this forum for help soon here............ The 30 days for the warranty is up and all the problems are on my hands now. First problem was the Rear engine seal..... now it's some other seal I figure.

These days a decent code reader is an essential tool for anyone with more than modest mechanical capability. Code readers have dropped enough in price that they are very affordable. I own an INNOVA 3110 which retails for about $150, but can be found at Walmart for $99. Very happy with it, and will automatically upgrade it's software when plugged in to your PC via the included USB cable.

    Thumbs up Reader Needer

I purchased a reader off of Ebay just this past Friday. They are certainly not so expensive these days and are very cost effective for due diligence of time and incur expense. I have been driving for the past 4 days with the light on not knowing.

Went to Autozone and was not able to secure a reader, etc. Already I have wasted time. Driving around to another Autozone would only incure more time and cost. Honestly, if you purchase an up-to-date reader, you will be better for any vehicle you own, now, and that of the future. Life back then when I owned a Chevrolet Vega was so much simpler with a plain inline 4 with rear wheel drive.

it's ok, JonB. this is probably his 1st post ever out of the AAG and surprise, its technical related, as such he's completely lost. the boy can talk about his car, but knowing enough about anything to fix any part of it, is a shot in the dark...

    Thumbs down Thread to Problem

    Hey Jon,

Not a single one of these threads are worthless! If you don't own a new vehicle with less than a year on it.... any freakin one of these vehicle failures on this thread can screw your drive up. I have found myself in these posting on a constant basis!

I read about an engine squeak 3 weeks ago just for the hell of it .... and now my vehicle is experiencing the problem. I wished it was belt related but it's not. I have to reread that thread to find a fix!!!

Wanting to find pornoes on this site is out of place really.... shit, I can give you a list of links that I visited for pornoes if that's what you want hahaha blow me up Tom!

Matt you took his reply out of context. he commented sarcastically to the guy who said your thread was worthless. JonB, did not say your thread was worthless, ATC did...

ATC, will want those porn links from you...

ATC never leaves the AAG. he saw your NWS tag, got disappointed since nothing NWS was in your thread, and called your thread worthless...

Yah I know man .. .no need to explain.... yah... I didn't know what that NWS icon stood for through looked eye catching. I'm a little more cautious now when selecting an icon.

I understood JobB well. Thanks for the explanation anyhow.

You mentioned the AAG threads... what is that thread about?

My porno links are in my home computer not my work one... so, I guess ATC will have to wait until I get home!

    Good day man,
    Matt.....

Angry The Repair Pursuit--- you like my Subtitles?!!!

Thanks for the 411. I have seen that before but have never ventured into it. Man, I'm just here in these postings to learn about other LS1 owner experiences and technical understanding. I'm sure that the AAG threads is a nice time killer.

Shit, I'm looking at the California Lemon Law right now and will have to pursue it to get the lot to repair my car, as much as I hate it.

ummmmmmmm i was joking. it was nws, so i figured it was either really funny or porn, thats how it is. i have spent about 40% of my time in aag lately and more in tech sections or asking tech questions in aag like on the train, etc.

edit: well i wasnt joking about being disappointed that it wasnt nws, cuz those are usually good threads. it was just a tease lol... as far as the tread being worthless, THAT was a joke. i would help him if i could

I don't think any of these threads are worthless. I love this site I can't even count how many times it has either A. saved me time with a task on my car B. showed me exactly how to do something with a list of all the tools needed C. Helped me with a good starting point on what might be wrong with my car or straight up told me what was wrong with my car with out wasteing money on unnecassary parts. D. Just taught me something I did't know. As stated above I was just busting AT's balls cause he was disapointed there was no porn he may be able to put those porn sites to better use you may want to post them up for him.

Correct you are, these posting are invaluable to save on time and money to say the least. I'm having high pitch duck squeal from my idler pulley.... thought it was the best or another component... I would have never checked that part had I not read it in one of these threads... another member suggest rubbing waxed soap on it as a fix..... it worked... but they also mentioned replacing it. I'm thinking to mysef, the pulley is a simple component and don't see why it can't be home refurbishing to remove the squeak.. I need to start a new post to pick members mind on the pulley.

AT needs a teacher like this who will discipline the TA shit out of him:
