    Cammed F-Body Owners

First of all, I've never driven, or even rode in, a car with an aftermarket cam.

I'm thinking about buying a Z that has a 6.0L iron block, cam, all the supporting mods, long tubes, cat-back, etc and was curious as to how they are as daily drivers, as that is what this will be if I buy it.

Going to look at it in the morning.

I'm looking for opinions of those that daily drive a cammed fbody.

The car is an '01 Z with 65k miles. C6 rims, lowered, SS hood/spoiler, auto, t-tops.

    Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

    Here's part of the ad..

"White camaro with many upgrades and very low miles.
Car has an iron block bored to 6.0L
    .224 cam
    SLP lifters, pushrods, and rockers
    Ls6 intake
    Ls6 oil pump
Brand new rear tires / slightly used fronts
    z06 wheels
    Longtube headers
    Borla exhaust
    SLP Lid

    SS Hood
    SS Spoiler

Interior is perfect with tan leather and custom Z28 floor mats
A NX nitrous kit will be going with the car. This car has never seen nitrous but would probably love too."

That is a smallish cam, especially in a 6 liter motor. With a decent tune it should drive close to stock. Just make sure and take it for a drive and see how you like it.

Yep, 224 @ .050 = baby cam. You won't even know it's there. Factory cams in the 60's were bigger than that and we drove them everyday

With the 364 and that cam it should have a nice flat torque curve that would be fun on the street. Didn't see mention of a stall converter though, that would be something I'd look at adding to really wake the car up.

Sounds like a nice find though. White and tan is a classy color combo.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

After sleeping on it a few nights I've decided to pass. Too many "unknown" things about the engine/motor/mods that I was curious about and the owner didn't know.

Also, sorry for posting in two different sections.
