I would go with a comp cam 226/230 or 228/232 XER lobes. Also depending on how many miles your engine has I would replace the lifters, valve seals, springs, pushrods, oil pump, and have your factory heads milled .010.

Also if you want people to know you have a cam I would go with a 111 or 112 LSA ,but if you could care less or want a stock sounding cam go with a 114 LSA.

I agree with incbed, if I where an M6 I might even look at a 109-110 lsa for alittle more grunt...but if your going to do a head swap soon, I'd wait till then to do the lifters.
For good insurance, I'd do the oil pump upgrade and while you have the oilpan down get a set of ARP or Katech rod bolts to replace your stock ones (the stock rod bolts are the weak link in these bottom ends)

This is a nice DD cam for an M6. May even want to go a tad bigger with a F14....

If smog is an issue then a 224/224 114lsa, otherwise it all depends on were you want the power (low, med.,or high rpm range).
    IMO, a 228/228 112lsa would be a good choice for a DD.
