Cam, Springs, and LS6 Intake Install

The shop said they would charge me 900 for installing 918 springs, cam, and LS6 intake with polished TB. I am thinking about doing this myself. I don't know how to degree a cam though. Plus, I might need an air compressor to keep the valves up when changing the springs. When setting the lifter pre-load on the LS1, is it the same method as previous roller cam 350's? I have done those about 5 or 6 times. Also, will I need some kind of EGR modification for the LS6 intake? Will I need to remove the headers in order to use the air compressor adapter when changing the springs?

Stock lifters and stock rockers?? If so, just torque the rocker arms to 22 ft/pounds and you are good.
    Cam....dot to dot for timing.

Air compressor and the Crane tool for the valvesprings.
Headers should be able to stay on...although some of the cylinders may be fun to get the adaptor in.

Expect a full weekend. Just in case.

I am thinking about doing the springs, intake, and TB myself. And later, I will take it back to get the cam and LS6 ported oil pump installed also.
