cam question??

hey guys, i'm going for a cam swap and was woundering if i could get some suggestions on neccesary things to go with it such as pushrod length and rockers,springs ,retainers etc. i think im gonna go with a comp XR277HR 224/228 .534/.537 112 for the stick. also was looking at some headers to throw on also, was looking at the pacesetters lt's. i got a 01 ss with a cb exhaust, slp lid, and a cutout. im open for any suggestions thanks,

You still got some work to do before a cam swap. Get subframes, LT's/ORY, and a ported TB before thinking about cam. As for what u will need, springs are a must and hardened pushrods (most guys run 7.400) are almost a must to. The last thing you will want is to buy a nice cam and be limited to factory redline. I think patriot makes a kit that includes springs,seats,seals,locks and retainers. Rockers arent really needed.

Its a good idea to upgrade the timing chain and oil pump while doing a cam swap, not an absolute must though.

Pacesetters are very good.
