    cam question?

I am looking at a Comp Cam #54-444-11 with these specs.
224/230 @ 50, 581/588 lift with 114 lsa. This is the XFI XE-R profile hydraulic roller shaft. My question is this too much camshaft for a street. I see all the other people talking about a comp 224/224 581/581 with either 112 or 114 lsa for a street car. This one does not look too far from that, other than the XE-R profile which is a more aggressive lobe design. Thanks in advance, I learned so much from this forum already.

no, that is not too much for the street. your tuner will be able to get you some good power out of the size cam and make it very DD friendly as well...

i have that exact same cam almost, mine is a comp cams 224/230 581/592 on a 114 lsa, it definately woke my car up but i could stand a few more bolt ons. it has a great lope to it to, very noticeable.
