    cam & pushrod question

Im gonna put a new cam in my car this summer, the Torquer v2 and it comes with my choice of pushrods. Im gonna be running the stock heads and no other internal mods. So should I just go with the standard size pushrods or what?

    Thanks

i think that would depend on how much HP you're gonna get from the cam...if it's a decent amount i would go ahead and put bigger rods in it..when i swapped my cam i put larger ones just to make sure that they could handle the extra power...the LS1's have a rep for having internal parts that break very easily....so its up to you..if it were me and i was given the choice..i would go a little bigger just to be safe...droppin the motor to replace the cam takes long enough....dont wanna have to to do it again right after because you snapped ur rods...lol - your call

Call and ask TSP different lengths will change the geometry of the valvetrain. It is rather important that you get the right length.

i just put a regrind cam in my goat, it called for longer push rods.....but when installed the stock length were perfect, the longer ones would have been too long.

to be set properly, 1st our stock setup is NOT adjustable. 1st go to zero lash, then after zero lash it should take 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn to tighten your rocker bolt.....more than a full turn and you need a shorter push rod, less meens you need a longer push rod. they are not all exactly the same on the motor. some will be closer to 1/2 turn some will be closer to a full turn to tighten

it takes some down time to check, then order, but this way you will be sure
