    cam packages?

    Hi;

    I got a 2000 camaro ss and i just did headers, cats and magnaflow exhaust with a tune . Now i'm going change heads, cam ,oil pump and timing chain but the car it got about 100k , is this a good idea? I don't race the car or abused is not my daily driver either . i almost forgot all of this will be done most likely by SNL performance in haslet tx.

    If it runs well, I'd go for it. I have done a similar setup minus heads 107K on the clock now and it runs great. Sounds like you plan to do all the proper upgrades to keep it reliable.

    Agreed. As long as you've maintained the car properly, there shouldn't be any reason for concern with your mileage.

    Do you have any other supporting mods (drive train, suspension) to support that added HP?

    Just dont go too too crazy with the cam and you should be ok. What do you have in mind?

    If by tsp you mean Texas speed performance , that's where I got my lt headers and I will get the rest of the parts from there but thank's for the advice.

    The guys at TSP will help you pick out the right combo for your goals. I ordered everything from them for my build.
    As for the milage, if the car has good compression i would go for it. Get a test gauge and see where you are. I'll pulled the heads of mine with 58k, and the cylinder walls still looked freshly honed. The LS engines wear great over time.
