Well I finally installed my cam and valvetrain over the weekend. MS3 with Dual PRC springs, titanium retainers, hardened pushrods, valveseals (all blue?), LS2 timing set, LS6 ported oil pump.
Now the hangup. Think I pinched my oil pump pickup. Oil pressure will hold 40 PSI at 2k RPMS (never rapped it over that because of clatter and didnt drive it either) just tried to keep it long enuogh to get hot and make sure there was no major problems. But if RPMs drop below 2k the pressure will go down to about 15 PSI. Oil was definately frothy as well. Cam was pulled very slowly, came out easily, new cam had plenty of lube (white motor assembly grease) on it and doused it with royal purple just in case and went in easily. Didnt have an available torque wrench to torque the rockers to proper spec at the time so I just tightened until it stopped and went 1/4 turn with it and its loud so definately gotta retorque it. Going to repull the front in when I get another O-ring hopefully thats it just gotta drill the TB hole as it will not stay running without some pedal and retorque the rockers. Sounded mean as hell though cant wait to get it all ironed out and floor it!
