Personally haven't heard that, but that is enough for me to stay away.

With that cam, what in the valve train did you have to replace? I may ask this guy to go larger on the exhaust side. I'm no pro at it so I dont know if a basic stock set up will work.

PSI springs were tested at Katech for quality and longevity, that is why he uses them. The rods and cam are COMP.

I'm sticking with the stock oil pump but upgrading to an LS2 timing chain. The installer recommended using the stock lifters and rockers with this cam set up.

I will be waiting untill I install my 4.10 gears so when it gets tuned, I can have him tune the gears in as well.
I was going to go with 4.10 gears but Kirk advised against it because of the M6 trany. He stated that I wouldn't have much of a 1st gear; very quick in, very quick out. That's why I went with the 3.73. Prior to the gear swap I called him back and inquired about the 3.90 setup. He still said to go with the 3.73.

Right now I like the difference between the 3.42 and the 3.73. Once I do the cam swap? Time will tell; I may bump the gears up a notch.

That's one thing I was worried about... either that or completely spinning all through 1st and 2nd. I thought about 3.73s but I think I would go 3.90's if I didn't get the 4.10's. Mixed emotions I guess....

I played the mind game for a while. Shelling out 5 bills+ for gears with install, you'd like it to be right the 1st time. It's a tough decision.

I'm not ready to throw $2.4K+ into a Ford 9" because I blew-up the factory 10". Further down the road? Maybe. Right now? No. (After dumping the H3 I still have to find a winter ride.)

Vector Motorsports ie; Kirt did a great job of tuning my car after the cam install. I purchased that same cam through him and installed it myself along with Comp springs and pushrods. With all of the basic bolt ons to support it I tuned at 406 hp, 385 ft lbs to the rear wheels. Good luck on car let us know how it comes out!

I have the same set-up except for the suspension mods and I have cats. Same plugs, wires, lid, intake, tuned by Kirk ect....mine rolled out at 406hp and 386tq. I wonder why you do at least as good as mine?

Still stock gears. I think I'm going to wait until this rear end goes and then replace with a Strange 12bolt.
