    cam for FI

I wasn't sure whether to put this in the FI section or here but my question is what cams are good for FI? I'll plan to eventually put a procharger on my car but have no idea what cam would go good with it or how to determine what would. Also are there any cams out there that are pretty good for NA but even better for FI? Or would it just be better to get a NA cam and replace it with a blower cam when I get a supercharger? Suggestions would be appreciated.

Bob at Brute Speed sells a cam specifically for the Procharger.

    Cam specs are:

    Dur @ .050 232 int 240 exh

    Lift .595 int .608 exh

    Lobe Sep 115.0

Their website says the cars picked up 50-60rwhp with this cam before the Procharger install.

You will also need valvesprings with that cam or one similar that can handle the lift.

Mark at www.kyspeed.com that is a sponsor here may have the same cam. If so, you can try getting in contact with him and see what he thinks. He installs Prochargers and is a certified Procharger dealer. Ask me how I know

Alright cool I'll definitely ask him. I wish I had enough to get the procharger too but I am going to have to save for a while for that.

Trust me, I know. I won't get into details of the cost, but it was close to my left nut

I have a build thread going on in the FI section for it.

Just waiting on the tensioner now.

I'm partial to AFR Seriously though, if you plan on going FI eventually, heads aren't so important IMO. You are having forced air so flow requirements in the heads aren't nearly as important as it is staying NA.

I have that same cam and 317 heads that have been ported and polished. With supporting mods:ls6 intake, lt headers, exhaust, etc. Im putting down 404rwhp/370ishft/lbs. I really like the cam, just gotta wait for the forced induction part now lol.

Well I'll probably just get between a 3600-4000 stall. I think that would be good for it.
