Cam Choice?

I'm getting a cam swap and headers done soon and trying to choose a good cam. I'm currently at 130K miles and all stock except an ls6 intake and a lid.

The car is my DD and it sees alot of stop and go traffic so I need something mild, but still want a little power. The shop recommended a comp 228/232 on a 112 LSA w/ .588/.595 lift.

is this a good DD cam? and what power should i make?

I'm also getting an LS6 OP and timing chain, with pushrods and springs.

Is this in a A4 or M6? If M6 great cam lots of people DD cams that size. What are your other mods? If you have an A4 then you need to get a stall about a 3500+. That cam and a good tune and you'll have a fun DD!

Im a fan of the Texas Speed 228R or 224R for a DD car

Its an A4 I'm still on the stock stall but looking to beef up the trans with a stall in the future

only other mods are ls6 intake and getting headers and ypipe installed with the cam.

You won't like it until you get a stall then.

Otherwise, that is a pretty tame cam that I wouldn't have any problems daily driving.
