    Cam Advice

    My original plan was to do a ls6 conversion on my ls1. I already bought the heads and i have the intake waiting to be installed. I was looking for a cam and everyone says the ls6 cam is a waste to get. My question is what would be a good cam that will pass smog in cali and work with those heads btw they have yellow springs.

    I think a texas speed 224 will pass emissions and it is a great cam. I don't have to deal with emissions so I am no expert. I am sure someone will chime in, that knows.

    when looking for a cam that would pass smog would i want a higher lobe separation? such as 115degree?

    correct. anything below a 114 wont pass.
