black- 2000 nhra edition formula
you have to get headers so the car can get rid of the spent gas as quick as possible.
what do you mean by big cam, is the car going to be a strip only, weekend warrior or a daily driver?
when doing a cam, get the whole cam kit.
also being youre car is a 99 change the timing chain out for an LS2 chain.
you will also need computer tuning so the car will run correctly.2000 nhra edition formula

for a daily driver get a 228/228 cam with a 114 lsa cam kit, with hardened push rods, ls2 timing chain, and long tube headers of youre choice, they all make about the same power.
youll need a computer tune also.Last edited by mrr23; 12-27-2006 at 07:51 AM.

thunder racing makes a cam, called the cheatr, specifically designed to keep the stock manifolds and cats. if you don't want to put headers on, this would be a good choice. just installed in a 99 TA last month along with crane 832 springs and hardened pushrods. on stock tune, you can barely tell it's in there.
he just went 12.9 in the car as well. 99TA M6, and a cutout on stock tune.
with a cam swap, you will need new valve springs to handle the added lift and ramp rate.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

either a 114 or a 112 lsa would be fine. NHRA and I run the same cam except his is a 114lsa and mine is a 112ls. I have an M6, and mods listed in my sig...
NHRA, I am looking into a pair of Stage ii Ls6 heads for the car at the moment. Still have the Ls6 intake on my floor...lol2018 CTS-V: °°668rwhp/658rwtq°°
