    Burnout

I was trying to do a burnout and the first time wheels started spinning then stopped and the car was gunnna turn off. Second attempt didnt get that far just went straight to turning off smoke came out but it wasnt the tires it was clutch. Third attempt wheels spun then car started turnin off. Heres how i did it i pushed the clutch in got it to 4 rpm then dumped it and held the break and tried getting the rpm up to five and kept turning off on me with the tcs off. Did i do something wrong. Oh and i have to jam it to get it into any gear. Doesnt wanna go into reverse at all unless i use force. How bad is the damages and if i let it sit for a lil will it go back to normal until i can find a clutch?

Didn't you post this same thread already in a different section?

Your shifter should always go into gear when you have your clutch disengaged. If it doesn't, something is wrong. Bad synchro, bad throw out bearing, bent shift fork?

You were 'burning out' with the clutch and you tried again????????????????

    First problem....you killed your clutch.
Second problem....you pushed the brake down WAY too hard for the burnout.

Luckily...I doubt you damaged the transmission. I could be wrong, but I am willing to bet you smoked your clutch badly enough to create the new found issues.

    My recommendation???
Get a new clutch (LS7 kit comes to mind). Don't try anymore burnouts.

And when you do get a new clutch, do you're burn out in 2nd gear. You may want to invest in a line lock if you plan to continue racing as well. Also turn your mirrors down to watch how your tires are heating up.
