Broken Bolt
Well i was putting in a new cam ,lifters, oil pump, timing chain, and valve springs. When i was tearing the motor down i found a broken bolt. Passenger side head bolt the one in the back middle. I went to loosen it and it was loose. So i removed the nut just thinking that the nut was loose.
When i went to put the head back on I noticed that the stud was loose. (By the way it has ARP bolts.) So when i went to tighten the stud i had found that it was broken off 1 1\2 IN down it the block.
I put over 6000 miles on the car with the stud broke (I guess it has been broke for awile.) The head gasket never leaked so should i try to retracted the broken stud or just hope it seals again???
The motor is still in the car so it's hard to get to. Any suggestion or how too's????????????????
