Blown Valve on 2000 Formula.

I have a 2000 Firebird Formula that possibly has a blown valve.
Can anybody give me some advice on possible repair, engine replacement, and cost on this thing?
Also if I decide to sell it with a blown valve, how much should I ask for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

yes, what gives you the idea. and by ""blown"" do you mean "burned"?

Well right now I have it at a mechanic who's first impression is that it's a blown valve.
We are leaking oil from somplace althoug we don't smell burnt oil on the engine.
Also there is a knocking on the engine that does not stop after it warms up and we drive away.
The other thing is that it idles very low at stops like red lights and such to where it has just shut off, I then have to restart and go.

There are many test a regular mechanic will do, such as cylinder head leak down test to compression test to determine which component is hurt. Its a very simple process. If your mechanic hasnt found out within a day or two from having it then take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
