    Blower cam...

Theoretically, if you wanted to throw on a blower on your stock LS1...wouldn't the stock cam's high LSA be best?

It seems like it would be a better blower cam than a lot of the aftermarket ones that would give more valve overlap...if I remember the stock LS1 cam has between 116-119 LSA depending on year.

    Opinions?

the gt2-3 is a popular blower cam.
    i believe it has a 115 lsa.

Blower cams are a little bit different breed of cat than any other.
They aspirate in accordance with the % drive of the blower itself.
They function in accordance with underdriven and overdriven.
Typically, the street blower is maximum 4% overdriven as anymore would not make it streetable.
Typically flat top pistons are utilized in low compression say 8:1.
Typically longer duration and shorter lift is desired but the difference is usually nominal and depending on what kind of reliability is desired.
An overlap say at 110 LSA with short lift would be optimal as this tends to speed up the induction and waste process which blowers want to do.

I disagree...the lower LSA you have the longer the time in which both valves are open at the same time, or "overlap". This just gets your boosted air blown out the exhaust...

Now for an N/A car, the air isn't being forced into the cylinders and overlap is a good thing. But for a car under FI this is a bad thing.

I know there is more to consider but I would think you will want to stick with a higher LSA...

sounds to me that Eddie himself is really the guy he keeps referring to, the one that doesn't know what he is doing and bought a bunch of mis-matched parts, lol

I just noticed you two follow around each other on the forum like mutt & jeff .. no .. frick & frack .. no .. abott & costello .. no .. the bi-polar twins .. no .. probably just some multiple personality patient ..

    .. anyway ..

Take a real close peek on the left cylinder head .. you see the black plaque designating it as special edition SS SLP?
Now take a look at the SLP build sheet .. out of focus?
Look at all the additions that looks to be over $10k of SLP additions .. how many & how much are they usually?

Whichever personality I'm addressing .. wants to call the guy for the build number then call SLP on it like I did?

    Hello? Anybody there?

slp does not use thunder racings products, slp has there own.
it doesnt make good business sense to use others stuff.
while it is an SS, SLP did not do the work on that car, a tuner did.
the most powerfull car slp ever had out was the 345 h.p firehawk.
they never made anything production ls1 that made 400 h.p and thats a known fact.

nino, hes giving out misinformation in a bad way, just read his posts and youll see.
hes telling this guy to get a cam with a 110 lsa. thats not for a blower.
this isnt a pissing match, its him being corrected so somebody doesnt make the mistake of following his advice.
he thinks ls1.com has been around for only 2 months and slp made 400 h.p cars off the line.
lets not forget the ls6 cam that makes 50 h.p

I see you're having a bi-polar spat .. you can always tell this kind of psychosis is in effect when the evidence is in their faces but they joust with it trying to find another venue thats much more compatible with the psychosis of the moment .. I mean even Rainman can fart in the phone booth .. (but notice he finds no need to make a phone call) ... how does it smell?

.. no he's fine and dandy with his diminsh'd capacity ..
