I saw a couple that looked like Bananas. One from an LS1 on the juice that spun a bearing due to low oil, and one from a crown vic motor (4.6L 2V) that ingested water.

NO this is NOT my motor! It was brought in like this. It is a 383 early style SBC.
The rods were in the last motor they ran that had a broken crank. They insisted on using the rods from the old motor.
This is NOT a Nitrous motor.
It was actually in the staging lanes warming up on the trans. brake.

A lot of years in the industry and you see it all. You do not see them every day like that but I have seen it before.

I've never seen a rod bend to that degree without snapping... Pretty cool stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I've got a stock factory BB 427 rod that is bent about 60 degrees just below the wrist pin. It tapped an intake valve at 7200 rpm and hydrauliced the motor going through the traps. It is strange how they will bend and not break, unless you try to do it in a vise.

I had one twist 360deg without breaking, but haven't seen one bend over like that. Oh yea, it was a Big Shot on stock rods. ops.
