I will never use Royal Purple, its a low grade oil and mostly gimmick.

So far, I have seen best results with Mobile 1 synthetic and Lucas Oils synthetic.

my ls1 has 111,xxx miles, hard earned miles. Its a high reving big cam engine that runs perfect and the valves are spotless!!!
Mobile is a town in Alabama. Maybe you mean Mobil?
Oil does not cause sludge. Malfunctioning or poor PCV/OCI's etc. cause sludge. Not oil. Lucas has shit add packs and is a GrpII. Lets see your results of Mobil1.....post em up....

In some tests I've seen it crushed the Mobile 1.
What are you calling "grade 4" ?

5-30 is USA made GrpIII Castrol not GC. Your mistaken.

Lets look at these "test" you reference.....post em up. Rotella is "cheap" because it is a GroupII low cost to manufacturer. Utilizes gobs of ZDDP......bad for catalytic converters which you don't find on diesels.....At the least learn to spell Mobil. It is not a hard word.

Sarge, the 5w30 I was referring to is Penzoil Platinum. The "In the case of German Castrol ,the reason is" was added to the statement after I asked the question.

So, PP 10w30 would be better or my car than PP 5w30?
